Human Rights & Equity

We’re building workplaces and communities free of discrimination, harassment and exclusion.

CSU 52 promotes equity and justice for Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+, women and disabled workers, ensuring that every person is respected and represented.

We know that true solidarity means lifting up those whose voices have been pushed aside and working together to remove the barriers that hold anyone back.

Health & Safety

Every worker deserves to go home safe, supported and healthy.

We defend members by negotiating safer working conditions, enforcing workplace rights and advocating for stronger health and safety regulations. We also work with other unions to share resources and best practices to keep Alberta’s workplaces safe.

Political Action

We fight for the policies and protections that make life better for working people. CSU 52 believes that all workers are entitled to fair wages and safe workplaces.

Through advocacy, coalition-building and community engagement, CSU 52 stands shoulder to shoulder with other unions to push for progressive change at every level of government.

Young Workers

The next generation of union members is the future of Alberta’s workforce.

Our union is powered by people of all ages, and the next generation of workers is helping to propel our movement forward. CSU 52 believes in empowering young people to see unions as vital movements for justice, inclusion and opportunity for today and future generations.

We’re committed to pay equity, ending workplace harassment and expanding opportunities for women in all roles.

Our goal is to advocate for mentorship, advancement and skill development for women in the workforce to ensure that gender equality is not just a goal, but a standard in every organization.

CSU 52 members live, work and give back to communities across Edmonton and beyond.

Through volunteerism, fundraising and partnerships with local organizations, we support the people and places that make Alberta strong.
