Who is CSU 52?
We’re the people who make Edmonton work — proudly, quietly, and every single day.
From 911 and 311 operators to the friendly faces at rec centres, libraries, the zoo, and the science centre — CSU 52 members are the frontline of the services Edmontonians rely on.
We answer thousands of calls a day. We support hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. And we do it all while living, working, and raising our families right here in the city we serve.
We don’t just provide services — we help bring City Council’s priorities to life. When jobs stay local and services are strong, everyone benefits.
We urge you to think about the services that impact your life every day. These are your tax dollars at work, and they should be used wisely to strengthen the foundation of our city. Edmonton’s future depends on smart decisions that prioritize people and essential services, not short-term cuts or wasteful spending.
We are CSU 52
and we’re building an Edmonton for everyone.
Our History. Our Purpose.
For over 100 years, CSU 52 has been part of Edmonton’s story.
We expect safe conditions for workers.

Public services only work when the people delivering them are protected and respected. CSU 52 will always fight for safe workplaces, fair wages, and job security — because when we support workers, we support the city we all share. Every Edmontonian deserves to live — and work — in a community that values safety, stability, and respect.
Why it matters for taxpayers.

Stable, supported workers mean better services. From faster responses to safer streets and smarter spending, a strong workforce delivers real value for every Edmontonian. Unions like CSU 52 help ensure public dollars are spent wisely — protecting services from short-sighted cuts and keeping skilled workers right where they belong: serving their city.
